Bracing for Earthquake

A 50-gallon water heater holds about 400 pounds of water.

unbraced water heater to fall over, with the potential

heater falls over it could very easily damage the
gas connection
and create
a dangerous gas leak.
State and local building codes
require all water heaters to be properly braced. Check
